CHRISTMAS 2020 APPEAL

The children of Chernobyl: In November, we developed the Freedom from Institutions Christmas appeal for our friends at Chernobyl Children International. This appeal focused on the story of Katya, a young woman who, ten years ago, was found as a child wandering the streets in Belarus alone. Katya had been abandoned all her life, and thanks to Chernobyl Children International, was saved from having to live out her childhood in an institution. For this appeal, we asked supporters of CCI to let the Irish spirit shine bright and support Katya, and the other ‘Children of Chernobyl’.
