WOMEN'S AID
CARE MAILING & NEWSLETTER
We are delighted to now be working with the great team in Women’s Aid in helping them combat the rising levels of domestic violence in Ireland. Women’s Aid experienced a groundswell of support during the Covid-19 pandemic, in no small part due to the increased media coverage of this crucial issue. With many new donors, and many lapsed donors having been reactivated, it was essential that Women's Aid found a suitable and effective way to thank their supporters. The care mailing and newsletter we developed for them was designed to do precisely that. There is a huge sensitivity surrounding the nature and setting of messaging about domestic violence, so we designed a very discreet ‘coffee card’ which, on closer inspection, held vital information for women at risk on how to get help. The importance of saying ‘Thank You’ As an agency we have been producing care and thank you mailings for over a decade and we can’t emphasise enough that they are a great driver for impact. We know that the key driver for new donors to give a second time and possibly more often is directly influenced by how well they are thanked. As a guiding principle you should always aim to thank donors not only once but on several occasions. For example, when they donate, in their care mailing, in the letters they receive with follow up requests and any other opportunity to support your cause or service.
