Women’s Aid

We are proud to partner with Women’s Aid, an organisation dedicated to supporting women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse.

Our collaboration, now in its fifth year, has focused on empowering their fundraising team and driving sustainable growth across key areas of their operations. Our partnership began in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, which brought an overwhelming surge in public awareness of domestic violence and abuse. During lockdowns, the harrowing realities faced by women and children trapped with abusers became impossible to ignore. Donations flooded in, and Women’s Aid’s fundraising team of just 1.5 staff sought urgent support to capitalise on this momentum. Our initial work centred on a review of Corporate Partnerships, undertaking a detailed programme of analysis to improve governance, develop a
new stewardship programme, craft impactful propositions, and deliver fundraising sales training. This work shaped a thriving corporate partnerships programme, enabling Women’s Aid to better engage corporate supporters. Most recently, we supported the design and delivery of their first corporate engagement event, which received glowing feedback from supporters.

Building on this success, we were commissioned to develop a new five-year fundraising strategy for Women’s Aid. This comprehensive strategy established a clear vision and roadmap for growth, resulting in an expanded team and increased fundraising income. A key recommendation from the strategy was to develop a fundraising Case for Support. We were privileged to create Women’s Aid’s first-ever Case for Support, Ending Domestic Violence, equipping the team to communicate their mission with impact, power, and purpose.

Throughout our partnership, collaboration has been at the heart of everything we do. By working closely with Women’s Aid’s small but dedicated fundraising team, we’ve
helped build their confidence and capacity to deliver ambitious initiatives. Our hands-on approach has equipped them with the tools and skills needed to expand their efforts effectively and strategically. Together, we’ve laid a strong foundation for continued growth, ensuring Women’s Aid can scale their vital work and reach even more women and children in need.
